Machete-Wielding Crooks No Match for Bikers
Here’s another one from Australia: Two masked and armed robbers rushed into the Regents Park Sporting and Community Club in Sydney, thinking it would be easy pickings all around.
Boy, were they wrong.
The Southern Cross Cruiser motorcycle club was already there, and they didn’t take kindly to the masked men’s threats. A scuffle ensued as the bikers went after the crooks with tables and chairs. Rather than take his beating like a man, one criminal jumped through a plate-glass door which, club supervisor Jim Webb was quick to point out, would have opened if only the man had just pushed the button. He was arrested soon after. Meanwhile, back at the club, his buddy was tackled by the bikers, hog-tied, and left for the cops.
Webb, who has proven himself to be imminently quotable, said that his club has been held up at least ten times. He does warn future crooks against barging in on Bingo Night, though. “We have these old bingo players and they are really serious about their games,” Webb explained. Yikes!
